The Iphone cannot be synced because it cannot be found

Follow me I am running the latest OS X Yosemite on my Mac and latest version IOS 8.1 on my Iphone 5s.  From past couple of weeks every now and than when I connect my Iphone to Mac,  Itunes sees it and tries to sync it but fails with error  The Iphone cannot be synced because it cannot be found I researched alot on the issue but unable to find the reason behind the issue, probably its because of some latest update either on IOS or Mac which is causing it.  It is more likely on IOS end as I have read that even users with Itunes installed on a windows PC is facing the same issue. Fortunately I was able to find the solution to this issue by Exiting Off Itunes and restarting it.  Also at times rebooting my Mac was needed to fix the issue. Hopefully Apple will soon fix this one, until then restarting Itunes isn’t too bad of a solution. Follow...

Redirected Printer queue increases to exorbitant size

Follow me Recently one of the user complained about not being able to print from remote desktop session to local printer, As a first step to check the issue we validated that the local printers are getting redirected to the remote server( In my case the local PC was MacBook OS X and the remote server was Windows 2008 R2). I found the printers to be redirecting fine. How to validated that printers are redirected 1) On the remote server go into control Panel -> Printers (this could be named differently in different OS) 2) Here one should see the list of all the printers installed on the remote server 3) You should be able to see the printers connected/installed on your local PC here as well and they will say redirected in bracket. So here, I was able to see all the redirected printers here (I had multiple printers installed on my local Mac), Incase you do not see the redirected printers here, then please follow our Troubleshooting Printer Redirection article Here also this other article may also be helpful in troubleshooting Printer Redirection Here. Anyways, as here in this case the redirected printer were showing up fine, I went ahead and gave a test print and it came out of the local printer without a delay.  As always I gave a stare to the user, said from my eyes (what’s wrong), user was little perplexed and embarraced. I requested him to try to give a print, he went ahead and opened a PDF and tried to print it, I immediate pulled up the print queue (by clicking the...

Unable to Remote Desktop into Windows Server 2012 from OS X

One fine day, suddenly I wasn’t able to RDP into one of our Windows 2012 R2 server, there were repeated authentication prompt, as if I am providing incorrect password.  I asked some one else and he was able to RDP fine into the server. I tried remoting into another Windows 2008R2 server in same subnet and was able to do just fine. The only thing different from usual I was doing, was that today I was using my Mac OS X with its Microsoft Remote Desktop client Version 8.0.9 (Build 25073). So it looks like there was something which wasn’t specifically not letting me RDP. After some research I figured that Windows 2012 has another level of protection enabled by default when we enable remote desktop, which is Network Level Authentication (NLA). Few words about  Network Level Authentication Network Level Authentication is an authentication method that can be used to enhance RD Session Host server security by requiring that the user be authenticated to the RD Session Host server before a session is created. Network Level Authentication completes user authentication before you establish a remote desktop connection and the logon screen appears. This is a more secure authentication method that can help protect the remote computer from malicious users and malicious software.  Network Level Authentication (NLA) Requirement The client computer must be using an operating system, such as Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP with Service Pack 3, that supports the Credential Security Support Provider (CredSSP) protocol. More About NLA Here How to Fix it  Fortunately the solution to my problem was quite Simple, which is disable the added protection of NLA on the server , here...
