Solution:
- Go to Taskbar and Start Menu Properties.
- Click on Customize…
- Within the SYSTEM window, ensure that you are on Notifications & actions.
-
Instead of clicking on “Select which icons appear on the taskbar”, click on “Turn system icons on or off”
- Click on the back arrow icon on the top left, and then click on “Select which icons appear on the taskbar”
-
Voila, you have the “Select which icons appear on the taskbar” window open.
-
Under “Always show all icons in the notification area”, choose to turn that Off.
- Now, you can choose what to appear in the System Tray Notification Area.

Any time frame of when Microsoft will fix this bug?
Yup, we are also looking forward to that. Unfortunately as of now there is no such update.
