Problem

We had a client where a working VPN setup suddenly stopped working with error

“The user OLX\user connected to port VPN2-24 has been disconnected because no network protocols were successfully negotiated.”

Troubleshooting

We validated telnet to port TCP 1723 was working from outside.
Validated VPN configurations and found them OK
Found some articles where it was asked to switch to static IP Pool, but we were already static.
Checked other misc settings and found something strange,  which I do not remember now. But we decided to TCP/IP stack reset on the server.
Performed TCP/IP stack reset and winsock reset, rebooted the server
After reboot we lost our IP information, once that was reassigned
Voilla…we are able to connect to VPN now.
Solution

Perform TCP/IP and Winsock stack reset on the VPN server
